Student Services are here to support students throughout their time at Loughborough. Our mission is to help support students have a positive university experience and achieve a positive graduate outcome. It doesn't matter whether you are a prospective student, first year, finalist or postgraduate.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No, if you are in immediate danger or require immediate support, please contact the emergency services on 999 or University Security on 0800 526966

  • Yes, you can report on behalf of another individual. There may be instances where you are worried about someone close to you (this could be a course mate, a flat mate or a friend) you can use this portal to let Student Services know that you are concerned about them. We can then reach out to you and provide guidance and support.

    There may also be instances (Particularly for those in positions of responsibility) where an individual discloses information to you, you can use this system to report this on their behalf.

  • If you opt to submit the report with your details, Student Services will contact you directly to offer support, this may be via email, in person or online. Your information remains confidential.

    An advisor will run through what happens next, your options and any impact of information sharing, your safety and wellbeing are central to this process.

    If you opt to remain anonymous your information will be used for data collection purposes online, and may be used in environmental investigation to allocate resources or training, In safeguarding circumstances we may contact you or other parties involved to safeguard our community.

  • Yes, you can report anonymously. You are required to login using your University credentials, but you are free to remain anonymous when submitting your report.

    It's important to note that if you choose to remain anonymous only limited action can be taken.

    If you choose to remain anonymous your name will not be shown to the member of our Duty, Assessment and Inclusion team responding to your report. However, the University may in rare cases have to access your details in our system, this is not easily accessible and would only ever be searched for in instances where there were significant safeguarding concerns.

  • Once a report is made it is reviewed by Student Services who offer holistic support.

    Student services will listen to you and offer a range of support options both within the university and externally.
